zigbee roller blinds

I have these shitty venetian blinds and they don't block light very well in the mornings, so I want to design roller blinds that block light better, but can also fit into the mounts that already exist on my windows.

I also want to be able to automatically open the blinds at a certain time, like an alarm clock. I'm thinking I'd use a zigbee esp32 controller and some sort of motor. This way I could connect it directly to homeassistant so I can make an automation there, also so it isn't locked down to an ecosystem.

I don't really know CAD yet and haven't worked too much with controlling motors with microcontrollers, so that is what I'd need to learn to get this done.
